Play Therapy in Kent

As a Play Therapist I come in to your school and help provide a safe space for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties to explore their feelings. As their feelings are acknowledged and accepted their sense of self will grow, and over time changes can be noticed in their demeanour. With increased self-esteem children’s minds become open to learning and developing friendships.

If staff in schools would like to learn more about play therapy I would be happy to visit your school for some awareness training, so that teachers and teaching assistants can have a better understanding of the process that takes place during the child’s sessions.

Parents may also wish to contact me if they have concerns over their child’s behaviour, and arrangements can be made for a suitable venue for the play therapy to take place.

I also offer clinical supervision to other play therapists.

I am based in the East Kent coastal area and the sessions take place within schools, during the school day. The children can feel safe in a familiar environment and times are arranged to suit the needs of the child, with the minimum of disruption.
